Some friends and I was visiting the scout centre “Kandersteg International Scout Centre” for a winter event the days prior to the New Year’s Eve 2015. One activity we participated in was the sleigh riding from the Gemmi Pass higher up in the mountains. We passed the Hotel Schwarenbach the way and stopped there on our way down later that day.
There is a power line running over the mountains and they are clearly visible from the hotel. As we stopped, the evening sun shined from a clear blue sky and were reflected by the metal in the power lines. The golden light beams made the lines look like they were glowing, creating a view much more interesting than it would at any other time of the day.
This photo is a perfect example that you should take the picture when you have the chance. We went back again the next day but by then it was heavily cloudy and the sun was gone!
