Our Latitudinal Friends
Only three years after the moot in Kenya the time had come for the next moot. The Canadian scout organisations had organized a, celery filled, event taking place at the Awacamenj Mino Scout Camp in the middle of the Canadian forest.
The Swedish contingent started the journey to the moot by spending a few days in the vibrant city of New York. We figured that such a multi-cultural city had to be seen if you fly across the Atlantic. We wasn’t wrong!
The next stop was the dark night reserve of Gordons Park in Canada. There we learned a lot about the culture of the North American indigenous people. We also took our time for some great star-gazing, being in a dark night reserve, far away from any cities or other light sources.
