The Purple Flora

I like purple. For what reason? I don’t know.

I also like the green colour of nature. The obvious combination is to do photography of purple flowers. It might not be the first colour one associates with flowers, but they do come in all colours. Red? Definitely! Yellow? Lots of them! Blue? Sure! Purple? If you know where to look!

Purple also have a noble history. People learned to dye materials for cloths centuries ago. Some were easy to produce, other, not so much. The purple colour pigment was extracted from a sea snail in a time consuming process, making it very expensive. Only royals and other persons of high rank could afford to wear cloths of this colour.
